Defending Women & Children
SIS-HER is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) organization. Our mission is to defeat “social evils” with “good solutions”.
We provide restorative solutions to social issues impacting women and children.
The Kid's Defense Project
We host community awareness events to teach children, parents and community members how to identify signs of sexual abuse and sex trafficking. We travel to schools, churches, foster homes, and community organizations all over the United States to raise awareness about these social issues. We also provide school districts with educational resources and a Human Trafficking Awareness and Prevention Curriculum.
The RESTORE Project
We believe preventing child sexual abuse starts with families and communities. We help restore and build strong relationships between adults and youth. We provide restorative communication classes to parents, educators and other community members to help them facilitate discussions with youth about teen dating violence, sexual abuse, sex trafficking, and other taboo topics.
The #Snatchback Project
We provide women and children who have experienced sexual trafficking, and other forms of sexual violence with life skills training such as building their credit scores, learning how to start businesses, writing and publishing books, and more!

Glossary
Social Evil So·cial | e·vil | “Social Evil” can refer to many different problems that are dangerous or disruptive to society. Some examples include, crime, sexual abuse, homelessness, sex trafficking, drug use and poor education.
Sexual Abuse sex·u·al | a·buse Sexual abuse is any type of sexual activity that you do not agree to, including: inappropriate touching, vaginal, anal, or oral penetration, sexual intercourse that you say no to, rape, attempted rape and child molestation.
Sex Trafficking Sex traf·fic·king Sex trafficking happens when a person is pressured, forced or tricked into an engaging in commercial sex. Commercial sex is a sexual activity done to earn money or other valuable items.
Child Sexual Exploitation Child |sex·u·al| ex·ploi·ta·tion Commercial sexual exploitation of children is the exploitation by an adult with respect to a child or an adolescent – female or male – under 18 years old; accompanied by a payment in money or in kind to the child or adolescent (male or female) or to one or more third parties.
